What this rate does not include
The published rate is the starting point, not the final number. Before you send, factor in the following. This is why our rate and the rate in your app can look different for the same provider on the same day.
- Market movement. Currencies move all day. A rate published at 9 AM may be different at 2 PM. Providers refresh at their own cadence.
- Amount tiers. Sending 500 SAR and sending 5000 SAR often get different rates from the same provider. Bulk transfers usually get better rates.
- Beneficiary-side deductions. Once PKR reaches Pakistan, the receiving bank or SBP may deduct fees (BC charge, correspondent bank fee, cash-out fee). These are separate from the SAR-side fee.
- Weekend and holiday markup. Fridays / Saturdays in Saudi Arabia and Sundays in Pakistan often carry worse rates because settlement is delayed.
- Provider spread. Some providers advertise a friendly rate but apply a spread at execution. The number in the app when you hit send is the number that matters.
- Delivery time. Instant, same-day, and 1-3 day transfers often come with different rates. We do not currently show delivery time; check each provider before choosing.

How to compare providers honestly
Rate alone is not enough. To compare properly, calculate what will actually land in Pakistan: (SAR sent − fee) × rate = PKR received
Example, sending 1000 SAR: a wallet at rate 74.4 with 0 fee gives you (1000 − 0) × 74.4 = 74,400 PKR. A bank at rate 74.5 with a 17 SAR fee gives you (1000 − 17) × 74.5 = 73,238 PKR. Higher rate, worse outcome.
Also weigh delivery time (instant vs 2-3 days), daily transfer limits, and whether the beneficiary loses more on the Pakistan side. The best-rate row on this page is a starting point, not a final answer.

Rates change throughout the day. Actual amount received will differ due to timing, transfer method, provider promotions, daily limits, and beneficiary-side deductions on the Pakistan end. SPPC publishes these for community reference only and does not endorse any specific provider or verify execution rates against advertised rates.
